There are more than 305,000 Massachusetts children in our target age range living in homeless and low-income situations, a number that is steadily rising in this economic climate. Families living in poverty often stretch their budgets just to pay for rent and groceries; in these situations, buying a coat, new shoes, or educational toys or books for their children is simply not an option. These alarming numbers underscore the importance of places of work, school or community groups hosting product collections to help us combat this critical need.
