Charity Navigator Awards Cradles to Crayons Highest Rating for Fourth Consecutive Year
June 27, 2012
Cradles to Crayons Announcement
We are pleased to announce that Charity Navigator, America's premier charity evaluator, has granted Cradles to Crayons their highest rating, four stars, for the fourth consecutive year.
Charity Navigator's scoring system is two-dimensional and receiving four out of a possible four stars indicates that a charity meets the highest standards of sound fiscal management, accountability and transparency. Only 6% of the charities rated by Charity Navigator have received four consecutive four star evaluations.
According to Charity Navigator’s President: "Receiving four out of a possible four stars indicates that your organization adheres to good governance and other best practices that minimize the chance of unethical activities and consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way. Only 6% of the charities we rate have received at least 4 consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that Cradles to Crayons outperforms most other charities in America. This “exceptional” designation from Charity Navigator differentiates Cradles to Crayons from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust."
We thank you for your continued support of Cradles to Crayons and our mission.
Sincerely,
Lynn Margherio Michal Smith
