On Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, WGBH President Jon Abbott and dozens of Boston CEOs and top business leaders rolled up their sleeves at the first annual Cradles to Crayons Presidents Day of Service. At the event, presented by the Boston Business Journal and Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, Jon joined fellow CEOs to sort and fill packages with winter clothing for children in need.
The Cradles to Crayons “Giving Factory” warehouse is a neighbor of WGBH in Brighton, and its mission is to provide the essentials children need.
Cradles to Crayons creates KidPacks that are hand-selected to meet a local boy or girl’s specific needs and wants. They accept donations of a wide range of new and gently-used goods that are appropriate for use by children ages newborn to 12. Get details on needed items.
