Young Professionals Council
Chicago, the City of Big Shoulders, has a rich legacy as a hard-working city where we look out for our neighbors. Cradles to Crayons (C2C) fills a need in our community by providing essential items – clothing, shoes, school supplies, and more – to children who are living in low-income situations.
The Cradles to Crayons Chicago Young Professionals Council (YPC) exists to provide young professionals with the opportunity to experience service and philanthropy through a holistic approach. The council is geared toward members aged 21-35 in the Chicagoland area. As a community ambassador, a YPC member offers a fresh perspective on what it means to give back to a fulfilling cause. Members are passionate about our mission, the kids we serve, and the community in which we live and work.
YPC Members will:
- Gain a deeper understanding of C2C’s mission and ways we can work together to end Clothing Insecurity.
- Support Cradles to Crayons Chicago’s overall goals to fundraise, volunteer, and collect product donations.
- Plan and execute a signature YPC fundraising event annually, plus additional networking and volunteer events throughout the year.
- Meet and connect with like-minded individuals looking to make a difference in their community.
Membership is accepted on a rolling basis and is open to all young working professionals in the Chicago area—especially those looking to make a difference and impact in their community. Whether you are new to the area or are looking to make new connections, all backgrounds are welcome!
