Safety Guidelines at The Giving Factory
Update on COVID-19: Please make sure to read our new COVID-19 donation guidelines and other precautionary measures we have implemented.
Here are a few things to expect before your volunteer visit:
Pre-Register: Volunteers must pre-register. Unfortunately, those who do not will be turned away. We are only accepting groups of a maximum of 15 volunteers, 10-years-old and up. Currently, we will have staggered start times for your group to prevent crowding.
Host a Drive: We ask all our volunteer groups to host a socially distant product collection prior to their visit. There is no minimum requirement, and we appreciate any and all children’s items you can bring. Please review the items we accept here.
When you arrive:
- A verbal check will be performed by staff to confirm the volunteer is not experiencing any symptoms associated with COVID-19.
- Volunteers must arrive at the Giving Factory wearing masks and must wear their masks for the duration of the volunteer shift. Any volunteer not wearing a mask will be turned away.
- Your shift will start promptly at your scheduled time and will begin with a brief orientation and wrap-up at your assigned station to keep groups small. In your station, you will be assigned tasks that make sure all of the items we receive are of good quality and ready to be proudly received by a child.
- It is a C2C rule that 10 feet of separation must always exist between volunteers, staff, and anyone else in The Giving Factory.
Thank you for helping us respond to the increased need for emergency children’s essentials.
