Safety Guidelines at The Giving Factory

Here are a few things to expect before your volunteer visit: 

Pre-Register: Volunteers must pre-register. The Giving Factory is no longer operating as a socially distant facility. If you would like a socially distant experience, please let us know upon registration.

Host a Drive: We ask all our volunteer groups to host a product collection prior to their visit. There is no minimum requirement, and we appreciate any and all children’s items you can bring. Please review the items we accept here. 

Accessibility:

One of Cradles to Crayons’ organizational values is a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion. As such, we welcome many diverse individuals as volunteers.

• There are accessible parking spots in our lot, a wheelchair accessible ramp leading up to our main entrance, and The Giving Factory floor is a single story, with no steps.
• Some volunteer activities require standing, but can be modified for seating if necessary. Volunteers who prefer the seated option may state that in the accommodations section of the form.
• We welcome volunteers of all genders, identities, and expressions. Men’s, women’s, and gender-neutral accessible restrooms are available in The Giving Factory for volunteer use.
• We have currently staff members that are fluent in Spanish, German, and American Sign Language. Volunteers who would prefer to have those staff members available during your volunteer shift may state that in the accommodations section of the form, and we will let you know if we are able to accommodate.
