6ABC Philadelphia’s Action News crew recently stopped by The Giving Factory to learn more about our annual initiative Gear Up For Winter. Action News Anchor Alicia Vitarelli spoke with Cradles to Crayons Philadelphia Executive Director Michal Smith about childhood poverty in Philadelphia. “Philadelphia has the highest rate (for a major city) of deep poverty in the nation. That means a family of four is only living on about $12,000 dollars a year,” Smith told Vitarelli.
