Un-Gala Health & Safety
Like many of you, we are hopeful and eagerly look forward to the day when we can all fully return to relatively carefree gatherings with friends, family, and colleagues.
However, we recognize that the spread of covid-19 continues to be cause for concern. To that end, we are taking several levels of precaution to help ensure that our live, in-person Un-Gala events are as safe as possible, to help protect our staff, volunteers, and community.
Masks
Masks are required upon entry to the Giving Factory for all participants at all events.
Un-Gala: Family Day: Masks must be worn for the entirety of the event indoors.
Following the volunteer session and weather-permitting, guests will be invited to celebrate the season with snacks outside, masks optional.
Un-Gala: Purple Party: Masks may be removed once inside the event for eating & drinking.
A designated “mask required” section will be available for anyone who prefers to self-segregate from those who are imbibing.
Air Quality
Cradles to Crayons has already retrofitted our large overhead fans with a clean air system featuring ion technology which has been shown to reduce airborne disease transmission risk by up to 93%.
Overhead fans will be running prior to and throughout both events.
Social Distancing
Please be mindful to avoid large-group congregating at entrances, restrooms, auction tables, and other spaces.
Un-Gala: Family Day: Members of each family/group who register together will be escorted directly to their own designated volunteer worktable. Tables will be separated to allow movement while still providing social distancing.
Un-Gala: Purple Party: A large quantity of standing hightop tables will be available and adequately spaced, allowing guests to eat or drink without crowding.
(Note: our Gear Up for Winter auction is online with remote bidding. Winners do not need to be present.)
The following additional regulations apply only to the Un-Gala Purple Party on Nov 19.
Please note that BOTH of these requirements apply to ALL guests:
Vaccination
All guests must provide proof of fully vaccinated status prior to entering the event.
To expedite check-in, we request that guests provide a copy of their vaccination record with their registration confirmation. Instructions will be included in your confirmation email.
Negative Test
All guests must provide proof of negative results for a covid-19 test administered within 72 hours of the event.
Cradles to Crayons will provide at-home test kits to guests registered by Nov 16. Additional information will be included in your confirmation email.
We hope that this abundance of caution will help everyone feel comfortable at the Un-Gala Purple Party while enjoying food & drink in a safe, fun social setting.
