There are many ways that you can help Cradles to Crayons by donating your time.

For example: You can host a clothing drive in your neighborhood (or in your workplace, or through your church or school). Your successful drive for winter clothing, coats, boots, hats, and mittens today can help us meet the demand for those clothes as the cold weather returns.

You can also volunteer to work at the Giving Factory, where people come together and make it all happen. At our warehouses, volunteers inspect incoming books, match outfits, sort and test toys, stuff backpacks, or fill orders that meet the needs of individual boys and girls in their local communities.

Who are these volunteers? They are people like you, your colleagues at work, your friends, and your children. They are people who want to share a powerful community-service opportunity, and help make life better for others. They are people who get a kick out of seeing mountains of clothing disappearing into packages, sorted and sized to meet the specific needs of the children whose first names appear on those packages.

Some volunteer for an occasional shift. Others—ranging from elementary-school kids to retired adults—volunteer regularly in the warehouse. We’ve had high-school kids fulfill their community service requirements by joining our teen leadership councils, hosting drives, serving as C2C ambassadors in their schools and communitiy, and leading volunteers in our Giving Factory. Many of our corporate and institutional partners work with us on a regular basis.

We are one of the premier volunteer opportunities in Philadelphia and Boston, providing a powerful experience to thousands of kids and adults each year. But don’t just take our word for it. See for yourself.
