What is Clothing Insecurity?
Clothing Insecurity is the lack of access to affordable, adequate, and appropriate clothing—which has tremendous short- and long-term negative impacts on children during their critical development years. 20 million children in the U.S. are currently facing this silent crisis. We are here to end it.
Why Giving Factory Direct®?
Giving Factory Direct (GFD) is an innovative online clothing donation program that provides direct support to children facing Clothing Insecurity in our communities. Each donation you pack includes 2 tops, 2 bottoms, and a sweatshirt. That package of confidence, care, and self-esteem then goes to one of our trusted Service Partners who gives it right to a child they work with, helping to end the Clothing Insecurity crisis—one child at a time.

Our corporate volunteering initiatives (below) are designed to connect our mission to put kids first with your corporate social accountablity goals—no matter the size of your teams or where they are based. Flexible in-person and virtual volunteerism opportunities meet your CSR objectives where they are and bring meaningful and fulfilling teambuilding experiences to your employee engagement.
Fully Virtual Engagement
Together, employees donate an unlimited number of gently used or new outfits directly through Giving Factory Direct—our online platform—with guidance and collateral from the Giving Factory Direct team.
Fundraiser
Employees make financial donations in support of our efforts to End Clothing Insecurity and get clothing to more children through a custom-designed site specifically created for your employees and their engagement.
Shopping Fun
Paid Sponsorship
As a team, employees shop for everything they need to create a complete clothing donation for the child they are personally matched with. This opportunity can be expanded to include an in-person event to prepare their donation for shipping.
Team Packing Event
Paid Sponsorship
Employees work together at an in-person event where clothing donations are prepared for shipment. We supply everything your group needs for this turnkey engagement experience, including the clothing that needs to be packed.
