Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service 2019
Help Keep Kids Warm
Every child deserves to be prepared for harsh winter weather with warm clothing, a heavy coat, hat, gloves and other winter essentials.
We work with over 24,000 families, individuals, community groups and companies to serve over 70,000 children every year in the region. Your time is vital to getting children the everyday essentials they need.
On a human level, what we do is bring a little sunshine into the life of a family or child in need. Learn firsthand about the difference we make on a day-to-day basis. From our service partners and volunteers and from the families themselves.
The Difference We're Making
Our whole focus is to make our collaborative process as easy and streamlined as possible. This helps us to empower the children you serve at home, at school and at play by providing the everyday essentials that match their individual needs.
Gear up For Winter
Winter brings below-freezing temperatures and puts children without adequate protection at risk for cold weather illness and injury. For thousands of local children, staying warm is a struggle, both indoors and outside. Cradles to Crayons®’ Gear Up for Winter program distributes warm winter essentials to families who need them most before harsh weather conditions become an emergency.
