Host A Drive

You have the drive to help, we’ll show you how to host one.

When you host a drive, you help Cradles to Crayons to serve even more children who are experiencing Clothing Insecurity, providing them with the essential items they need, like seasonal clothing and shoes. Hosting a drive is as easy as cleaning out your closets — and asking your friends, family, neighbors, classmates, or coworkers to do the same. Here’s how to host a successful drive for the communities in your region.

Where do I bring my donations?

Donations are accepted 24/7 in the large storage units outside of each of our Giving Factories.

We also have additional drop-off locations throughout Massachusetts, Greater Philadelphia, and Chicagoland. Follow this link to find the closest dropoff location near you. Please check local donation guidelines before dropping off any items in our collection bins.

Why can't you take nursery furniture, large toys, etc.?

At Cradles to Crayons, we take pride in creating customized packages of essentials, each hand-selected with care to meet the needs and wants of a specific child. In the interest of the health and safety of the families we serve and in consideration of the limited space they may have access to, we do not accept large furniture or toys.

How do I set up a donation drive? How long should I collect for?

In general, we recommend a collection period of two to four weeks. Simply complete an inquiry using our online Host A Drive Inquiry Form for your local Cradles to Crayons. The buttons are below for each site. A staff member will follow up with you. In the meantime, take a look at our downloadable Host A Drive Roadmap and Donation Guidelines.
