Kids Care Corps

Kids Care Corps is a curriculum-based, parent-child program for 9-12 year-olds, designed to explore issues surrounding poverty in age-appropriate terms, introduce the importance of community involvement, and engage children in activities to illustrate how every person can make a difference.

Parents participate together with their children, assisting with activities to enhance learning and strengthening relationships through shared experience.

Each workshop-based module uses a different academic discipline (math, social studies, writing) to help children learn new concepts in a familiar, structured format. Following weekly online group meetings, families are assigned home-based volunteer activities to reinforce lessons.

A different topic is introduced at each session, building on previous lessons. For continuity of learning and the benefit of all participants, registration is required for the full series.  Please be prepared to attend all dates before registering.

Group size is kept small to encourage interaction. Click the button to request registration for yourself & your child. You will be notified of your enrollment or waitlist status within one business day.

“Of all of the service work our family has been involved in, Kids Care Corps has been the most impactful for my children. Combining the educational piece with hands-on volunteer work helps my children get a big-picture view of both the need in the community and how they can truly make a difference.”

-Erin, FLC member and Kids Care Corps parent

Virtual sessions will be held on Wednesday evenings from 6:45 pm – 7:30 pm.

Registration is required for the full series. Please plan to participate with your child on all four dates:
