As Cradles to Crayons® continues to prioritize the safety and wellbeing of our community, we are joining national efforts to end COVID-19 transmission by requiring all staff to be fully vaccinated against the virus, beginning October 25.

In the interest of public health and safety, we have followed extensive guidance and advice from medical and workplace safety experts. Scientific and medical research shows that vaccinations are the best protection against this virus. From corporations like Microsoft to health care providers—including the American Academy of Pediatrics—to the federal government, organizations are putting their own mandates in place before OSHA requires them.

Our October 25 timeline will allow ample time for those who have not yet been vaccinated to meet our requirements. “Full vaccination” will continue to comply with the CDC’s definition*.

We will continue to maintain a mask-wearing policy for all volunteers and staff inside The Giving Factory®. Surgical masks are required at all times for all visitors on the Cradles to Crayons® premises—with nose and mouth completely covered.

Cradles to Crayons hosts diverse communities in our Giving Factories and we are committed to making everyone’s time with us safe and enjoyable.

We greatly appreciate your cooperation and support! We will keep you posted as our procedures evolve. If you would like more information on our volunteer safety protocol, please visit our Boston, Chicago, and Philadelphia pages.

Wishing you continued health and safety,

Lynn Margherio
Founder and CEO
