More than 130 Greater Philadelphia region human service agencies – including homeless and domestic violence shelters, schools, and foster homes that provide direct assistance to children – received quantities of free diapers from Cradles to Crayons, when the local nonprofit distributes over 300,000 of the essential product from its facility in West Conshohocken.

The diapers were provided to Cradles to Crayons by the National Diaper Bank Network (NDBN), through the support of its founding sponsor, Huggies®, and its distribution partner, K.I.D.S. (Kids in Distressed Situations).

The local diaper distribution is in part a response to the White House announcement of a series of steps to increase access to diapers for low-income families experiencing diaper need, as well as an increase in donations of free diapers to the NDBN and the overwhelming need in our Greater Philadelphia region.

Huggies donated an additional two million free diapers to NDBN, upping its planned donation in 2016 from 20 million to 22 million diapers. Plus, for every diaper donated through the Huggies Rewards program, from now through April 10, Huggies will match those donations up to 1 million additional diapers to NDBN. As a result, Cradles to Crayons plans to offer a second giveaway later this spring so that needy families in the Philadelphia region will receive more than 600,000 free diapers.
