C2C Quest - Playing the Game

How C2C Quest Works

C2C Quest is a multi-day, region-wide community experience, offering a unique opportunity for families, companies, and other groups to engage in fun, friendly competition while helping to make a difference in our community.

The event is an app-based virtual scavenger hunt of service activities which range from silly to serious, and are appropriate for all ages.

Teams earn points by sharing photo & video evidence of successfully accomplished missions.

Get Ready to Play

Within 1-2 days after you register, C2C will send instructions to download our game app to your smartphone or tablet so you can join the game.

1. You’ll be provided with our private game code needed to join.

2. You’ll see our C2C logo and will be prompted to choose a team.

3. Scroll through the list until you find your FAMILY or TEAM name.

4. Enter the team access code provided by your Captain or C2C.

You are all set! The game will be in a “waiting to start” status until our Opening Ceremony on Wed, April 27 at 7:00pm. You can close the app until then.

Playing the Game

Watch for an email invitation to view the Opening Ceremony on Wed, April 27 at 7:00pm.
(Video will remain available for later viewing if you are not able to join at that time.)

Following our annual “State of Cradles to Crayons” address by Executive Director, Michal Smith,
the game will become live and you’ll receive a notification on your phone.

Scroll through available missions, clicking on titles to read full details & requirements.
You can start right away by completing missions and uploading your evidence!

MAKE A PLAN

For some missions, you might want to plan with your family or team to determine who will submit for points.

Decide what props you will need (BONUS points!) and who will help for each, then work together to submit the best entry for your team. To earn full credit, make sure you add comments to your photo/video as noted in the instructions.

There are some missions which truly require a little advanced planning. Even if you will not actively work on your C2C Quest activities until the weekend, take a quick look when the missions first become available, so you don’t miss out on any opportunities.

All entries must be submitted via the app by Sun, May 1 at 10:00pm.

Earning BONUS Points

You’ll find lots of missions that offer bonus points (costumes, props, or any extra creativity will help!) and some missions offer DOUBLE points.

Social media missions offer points for likes, shares, & comments on your post, but be sure to tag @c2cphiladelphia and make your posts “public” so we can see!

Final bonus points will be calculated & added after the event ends, so expect the Leaderboard to change before the Awards Celebration. . .

TEAM MULITPLIERS

When one member of a team submits evidence of a completed mission, that mission moves from “Remaining” to “Completed” and is no longer available for other team members to submit.

Many missions include “TEAM MULTIPLIER” details in the description. For these missions, several players can text entries to their Team Captain who will need to create and submit a photo collage as evidence.  Teams will earn BONUS points for each successful mission shown in that collage and listed in the comments.

Team members can delete their submission from the Completed category. Original points will be deducted from your total and the mission will return to the Remaining list. This may be necessary when a Team Captain wants to upload a Multiplier collage for additional points in place of the original (single) submission.
