Boston, MA, July 9, 2014 — Starting July 7th and running until September 9th, 2014, all Jordan’s Furniture store locations and the Taunton Distribution Center will accept like-new and new clothes and shoes for children (infant to 12 years old) to support the Cradles to Crayons “Ready For School” program. Through partnering social service agencies, the donations will go to children in homeless or low-income situations. This will be the third year for the partnership between the retailer and the organization.

Cradles to Crayons was founded in 2002, with the mission of providing children from birth to age 12 some of the most important basics of life — free of charge. These basics include clothing, school supplies, toys, and much more. By supplying high-quality used or new goods, the organization helps local children in need feel valued.

The Jordan’s Furniture Cradles to Crayons “Ready For School” donation drive runs until September 9th. Donations will be accepted at all stores locations in Avon MA, Reading MA, Natick, MA, Nashua, NH, and Warwick, RI, along with the Jordan’s Distribution Center in Taunton MA. The donation drive strives to provide every child with essentials they need to feel valued, so accepted donations should be like-new or new, with no rips, stains, or tears. Accepted items include pants, shirts, sweatshirts, pajamas (new), socks (new), undergarments (new), sneakers, and school shoes. Donations are for children infant to 12 years old.
