A Partnership to Support Chicago’s Unhoused Population, including New Arrivals

Cradles to Crayons Chicago and the Chicago Furniture Bank are partnering with New Life Centers for Chicagoland families and individuals currently in shelters, and those transitioning to housing, resettlement and self-sufficiency. This partnership was developed to support all unhoused individuals in Chicagoland, including New Arrivals, or asylum seekers that have been arriving in our city throughout the last year. Cradles to Crayons will be collecting new and gently used clothing, Chicago Furniture Bank will be collecting new and gently used furniture, and New Life Centers is helping connect New Arrivals and those facing financial challenges to resources such as housing, food, clothing, and other essentials.

This partnership is part of the citywide effort to support all unhoused individuals across Chicagoland to ensure they have basic essential items, such as clothing and furniture, during their transition to housing. This is why we are combining resources to offer viable solutions to ensure people have the essentials they need to thrive in our city.
