Migrant Children Emergency Fund
Local nonprofits Cradles to Crayons, Horizons for Homeless Children, and Neighborhood Villages have partnered to create the Migrant Children Emergency Fund, bringing emergency support in the form of essentials to an estimated 10,000 migrant children currently housed with their families in the Massachusetts shelter system.
With the unprecedented number of migrant children living in hotels across Massachusetts, many are without essentials, including appropriate clothing for Massachusetts winters. The goal of this emergency response is to provide essentials so these children can stay warm and feel prepared to thrive. The Migrant Children Emergency Fund provides and transports winter coats, hats, gloves, diapers, multilingual books, school supplies, and play kits.
