Cradles to Crayons Launches Emergency Essentials Fund to Support Local Families in Time of Crisis

April 14, 2020, BOSTON, MA—Cradles to Crayons® (C2C) has established its Emergency Essentials Fund to directly assist families in Massachusetts severely impacted by the current global health crisis. The local nonprofit organization is committed to being a steady and dependable resource for families and children and has recently launched the Fund to serve those who need help now more than ever.

During recent weeks, C2C has seen an increase in urgent requests for essential items from across the Commonwealth. Many parents are forced to decide between buying groceries, medicine, and other critical items. Food pantries, homeless shelters, and other partnering agencies are calling on C2C to provide necessities such as diapers, hygiene products, clothing, art supplies, and school supplies to the thousands of families in need at this time.

To continue to fulfill the incoming requests now and in the coming months, C2C has established its Emergency Essentials Fund. Financial support from the Fund will allow the organization to purchase the necessities requested, and in turn, provide immediate relief to the families who cannot afford them.

“It is more important now than ever that our organization reaches families that are being pushed beyond their limits,” said Aubrey Conquergood, Executive Director of Cradles to Crayons. “We truly appreciate the partners and supporters who are contributing to this cause; their donations, big or small, can make a world of difference to a family struggling during this crisis. It is a very difficult period for all of us, but there is comfort in knowing we are all in it together and can continue to lend a helping hand to our neighbors.”
