OLLY Shoes Selects Cradles to Crayons as Exclusive Beneficiary
Of Its Third Annual “You Give, You Get” Campaign
Charitable Campaign to Help Children Stay Warm This Winter Set for October 12-28
DOWNINGTOWN, October 8 – OLLY Shoes, the Downingtown, PA-based North American chain of children’s athletic, casual, seasonal and specialty footwear, has named Cradles to Crayons the exclusive beneficiary of its Third Annual “You Give, You Get “collection-reward” campaign. This year’s drive will run in its stores throughout the Greater Philadelphia area from October 12-28.
Cradles to Crayons addresses childhood poverty by collecting and providing new and nearly new daily essentials – clothes, footwear, books, toys and school supplies – to local low-income and/or homeless children, birth through age 12.
OLLY Shoe customers who donate gently worn winter coats, snow boots or fall footwear at any local OLLY Shoes storewill receive discounts as much as more than 25 percent off any purchase made.
“We started our ‘You Give, You Get’ program as a response to the need of families in our store communities that could not afford to provide their children with winter essentials, such as warm coats, shoes and snow boots,” said Kirby B. Lohff, OLLY Shoes president and chief executive officer. “Last year, we collected thousands of gently used winter coats and pairs of footwear, which we provided to area charitable organizations. This year,” he continued, “we are proud to announce our partnership with Cradles to Crayons.”
Cradles to Crayons will mark its fifth anniversary in 2012 by serving its 100,000th child in-need later this year.
